Anthony’s Homeport in Kirkland

Yum… 425-822-0225, Mon-Sat 4:30-7pm, 9-close, Sun 3-7pm, 9-close. Happy Hour at Anthony’s is a great view + great deal. Their website isn’t very informative however- so I’ll share some bits here and a link to their Yelp page which gives lots of customer reviews.

We ordered their Happy Hour (HH) Chardonnay and a Pinto Gris.
We also had their Mussles and fries- Yumm
But the most amazing choice suggested by the waitress was the Raw Ahi Tuna on cracker with aioli drizzle- YUMMMMM- get this!
I heard their clams are really good but there were only two of us.
Should have taken a picture of their bar menu- maybe next time.
Great service!

So…my computer tech who I call IT Pam said that Anthony’s has the BEST Happy Hour ever. Food specials in the bar are $5.00, drinks are $5.00 and they have lots of other options- plus a fantastic view and parking. We parked on the street in Kirkland. Arrived at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon and the bar was pretty empty. We ordered our wine, a chardonnay and a pinot gris. We started with their appetizer of mussels with fries. Now, I gotta say that my friend and I are big fans of a good bowl of mussels. Our favorite by far are served at Maximilien’s in Pike Place Market.

Unfortunately Anthony’s has a terrible website. They only show a sample menu and due to Oregon laws they are prohibited from promoting their Happy Hours on their website. Oh well…whatever. Check it out, go there, and order something delicious.

The bar has two small TV screens which is nice because we were able to watch some of the Olympics while we were there. AND we finished off the night watching the snow fall over the water and the marina. During the summer they have a nice outdoor deck.

Tuna-Tataki-Rolls-RachelSo now that I have a new curiosity for Ahi Appetizers I thought to look for a few recipes. I found a great recipe here at Rachel’s website:

The Pescetarian and The Pig.com: Tuna Tataki Rolls with Creamy Ginger Sauce
